Who: Annmarie & Grace
What: Join us at Little Creek Yoga as we celebrate the longest night, honoring the power of darkness and the beginning of the return of the light, by practicing a Solstice Mala.
MALA- A Sanskrit word meaning garland it refers to a string of seeds or beads worn around the neck or wrist. A mala usually has 108, 54, or 27 beads and is used for counting mantra repetitions. A mala is a tool to help lead the mind towards the Inner Self. A mala can give us a physical link to our practice.
Grace and Annmarie will guide you through 108 Sun Salutations on Saturday December 21st from 9:30am -12:15 pm
We have carved out this block of time to practice. The Solstice Mala can help us set new intentions, go deeper within the authentic self, fire up the agni (fire of yoga) to burn away attachments and tensions, and remove stagnant energy and blockages to our best self.
